With the many different factors involved including engine and elevation, it is best to have the car tuned by a professional on a chassis dyno to ensure a proper setup. If we were to send out one blanket tune, it is possible that either your setup wouldn't make the amount of power that it is capable of, or your engine could be damaged because of the different conditions.

What horsepower and torque can you get with a 99-04 stock motor with a Hellion Turbo System?

The 99-04 Hellion turbo kit is sent out with an 9 lb setting, which will make about 375-400 rear wheel horsepower, and 460-480 ft lb of torque.

Does exhaust add more horsepower to the Hellion Turbo System?

Yes. We have seen between 15-100 more horsepower using Bassani cat-back systems. The reason for the large variance in horsepower gains is the level of modifications done to the car previous to the installation of the cat-back system. On a fairly stock vehicle, the exhaust won't make as large of a difference as it would on a heavily modified vehicle.

What if I have a Cat-Back System?

The Hellion system will bolt up to your existing cat-back system. All systems include piping that will bolt directly to your existing cat-back exhaust system.

Does the Hellion Turbo System have an EO (executive order) for emissions?

No.  The 79-04 Hellion systems are for off road use only, or for use in states that carry no emissions requirements..  We have a cat option that will make the kit emission friendly.
The 05-07 systems are E.O. pending.  The 05-07 systems retain the factory catalytic converters

Can I install the Hellion Turbo System myself?

Yes, the Hellion system comes with detailed instructions with an extensive amount of pictures for installation assistance.  Hellion recommends that a professional or person with ample experience install the k-member and front suspension kit and we reccomend having the vehicle aligned after installation.

Do the Hellion systems come with polished inlet tubes?

Yes, every Hellion kit has all visible pipes polished standard.

Does Hellion Power Systems have Dyno /Tuner referrals?

Yes. Contact Hellion Power Systems (505) 873-4670, and we will refer you to a reputable tuner in your area.

Does Hellion Power Systems offer a turbo upgrade for built engines?

Yes.  Each system can be upgraded to either a T-66 or T-76 Turbonetics turbocharger, for $595.00, except for the '03-'04 Cobra kit, which includes a 76mm turbocharger standard. Also available are heat shield upgrades, and a Ball Bearing option.
