For the second year in a row, cars powered by Hellion Power Systems' turbo systems have dominated at the 5.0 Mustang magazine "King of the Street" competition. Last year, it was Ryan Vitiritto who walked away with the overall win in his Hellion twin-turbo powered 2003 Cobra, while Cory Harris took top honors in the dyno portion of the competition with his 980 + rear wheel horsepower, Hellion twin-turbo powered Cobra. This year was no different.
Now that the final verdict has been released, it's plain to see that Hellion is the only source for maximum power on the street. Two Hellion powered cars took top honors in the dyno portion, with Shane from Virginia's Hellion Twin Turbo Cobra pounding out 991 rear wheel horsepower, and Tony A. from Florida turning out a simply insane 1,138 rear wheel horsepower from his compound-boost, Hellion twin turbo powered GT500. Tony then went on to absolutely annihilate the drag race portion of the event, becoming the first ever competitor to break into the 9-second zone with a scorching 9.70 from his 6-speed, street driven, drag radial-equipped ride. Ultimately, it was Tony walking away with the overall win, putting a solid period on a dominating performance by the Hellion equipped cars. Remember, if you want to win, you have to have Hellion.
Here's a video of all the competitors cars, the first car is Shane's Hellion twin turbo Cobra, and the white GT500 with no stripes is Tony's winning Hellion powered car.
