Hellion Racing is proud to welcome fellow NMRA Super Street Outlaw racer Zack Posey to our team.
Expect big things from Zack's new turbocharged combination once he gets it sorted out this season
as Zack has already proved that he is one of the top contenders in the premier 10.5 inch tire class.

Well, the 2008 NMRA racing season is officially underway. In fact, by the time you read this, we will already be two races into the new season. In those two races, Hellion's own John Urist has seen both ends of the performance spectrum, and experienced his fair share of excitement. After debuting his new 1990 Coupe in Bradenton, Florida, at the season opener, John struggled with the suspension tune up, but ultimately figured out, and with some good fortune and some good runs, he advanced to the final round, and won the race. Unfortunately, at the nearly rained-out Reynolds, Georgia race, John exited in the first round to a red-light start. Expect big things from the revamped Hellion Racing team this year as they figure the new combinations out.

John Urist secured his third NMRA Super Street Outlaw title on the 7th of October, 2007 at the NMRA's last race of the season in Bowling Green, KY. John lasted 4 rounds of eliminations after qualifying third with a 7.48@ 193 mph. The championship came down to the last round of eliminations, with second place Don Burton meeting John in the final. As the lights dropped, John left first and never looked back as smoke from Burton's car signaled trouble for the racer. This is the first time anyone has ever claimed 3 titles in NMRA's Super Street Outlaw class, and also the first time anyone has ever repeated as champion of the class. Congratulations on this monumental accomplishment.

Congratulations to John "Fireball" Urist for his Repeat championships in the NMRA's Super Street Outlaw class.
John is the first person in the history of the NMRA to repeat in the Super Street Outlaw class. John is also
the first and only person to win 3 championships in this class, having won in 2003, 2006, and now again, in 2007.
Will John be able to three-peat in 2008? We will have to find out, but big things are in store. John and Hellion
